Viva Vina in Boston

Viva Vina was invited to Boston by the Citi Performing Arts Center to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Wang Theatre with Chairman Mr. Paul Guzzi and CEO Mr. Joe Spaulding. The Wang Theatre has been called by several names over the years. Originally conceived as the Capitol Hotel, it was re-imagined as a theatre when the investors ran out of money, and was later named The Metropolitan. On opening night, October 16, 1925, more than 20,000 New Englanders crowded Tremont Street hoping to be among the first to see what newspapers called the “marvel of the show world.” In 1962, it reopened as the Music Hall and welcomed ballet and concerts, but it wasn’t until 1983, when a life-changing gift from Dr. An Wang ensured its future. The historic venue then became known as the Wang Theatre and is recognized as one of the most important cultural facilities in New England. (1)

Viva Vina continues to look for great investment opportunities throughout the world and recognizes Boston as a city with great history and culture. Viva Vina had the opportunity to enjoy the gala event at the Wang theatre as well as discuss future business opportunites with the Citi Performing Arts Center. Viva Vina is excited to continue to work on opportunities for mutual benefit with the Citi Performing Arts Center and other historic venues throughout the world.

Please direct questions regarding the Citi Performing Arts Center to Viva Vina at [email protected] and one of our representatives will contact you shortly.

Idaho Governor Visit

Posted by admin

Viva Vina recently visited the Government Offices at the State of Idaho. A large focus for visiting Idaho was to meet with Idaho Governor C.L “Butch” Otter and discuss opportunities for economic development. Idaho is an important agriculture state producing many crops such as potatoes, wheat, barely, sugar beets, corn, and alfalfa just to name a few. Important industries in Idaho also include food processing, lumber and wood products, machinery, chemical products, paper products, electronics manufacturing, silver and other mining, and tourism.

The energy landscape of Idaho is favorable to the development of renewable energy systems. The state is rich in renewable energy resources but has limited fossil fuel resources. The Snake River Plain and smaller river basins provide Idaho with some of the best hydroelectric power resources in the nation and its geologically active mountain areas have significant geothermal power and wind power potential. In addition to these energy resources, Idaho is a State that has a long history of nuclear energy production. The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is located in South East Idaho and is the location where the first light bulb was powered by nuclear power. Opportunities for nuclear power production is a topic of high interest for Viva Vina in Idaho.

The Highlands of Parshall

The Highlands of Parshall offer a unique investment opportunity in the heart of the North Dakota oil boom. Over the last few years communities in North Dakota have seen a significant increase in the need for common infrastructure to support thousands of employees brought in through the oil industry. This includes permanent housing, apartment buildings, restaurants, stores, and an increase to water and sewage capacities. The boom has been caused by new methods for extracting oil from reserves drilled years ago.

The Highlands of Parshall is an extension of Parshall, North Dakota. The planned development will bring in 520 residential housing units, 1,200 apartment units, 400 hotel rooms, commercial space, restaurant and store pads, community center, parks, and development of over 10 miles of roads, sidewalks and other amenities. This project is well situated to take advantage of huge demand and low competition for this type of a development.

The International Advisory Board Meets In New York City

Posted by admin

The International Advisory Board for the Nature, Culture, and Design (NCD) 2015 project recently convened in New York City to discuss the progress of one of the world’s largest mixed-use development projects being planned on the outskirts of Seoul in Guri City. The multibillion-dollar development project, called the Nature Culture and Design (NCD), will include the Guri World Design Center, an exposition center, hotels, retail, condominiums, single-family homes, foreigners commercial zone, design graduate school, cultural centers, and much more.

The primary purpose of the group is to provide the Korean government with insight and guidance on the development of the Guri World Design Center and architecture and development from a global perspective.

In attendance, were Guri City mayor Young Sun Park, Steve Lim Chairman and CEO of Viva Vina, Inc located in Los Angeles, California, and Chang Kuk Ko, president of K&C Associates of Seoul, Korea. “We intend to transform Guri City to Asia’s leading destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE). Sustainable design will be an overriding initiative as we build for the future,” says Mayor Park.

Presenters at the meeting shared compelling data to support Guri City as an ideal location to build a design hub and destination in Asia. With 60 percent of the world’s population within six hours of Seoul and an impressive growth in exports, reflected in statistics that show 1962 exports at $50 million, and today’s exports at more than $500 billion, Guri City seems poised to support and grow a center of this magnitude.

Guri World Design Center

Posted by admin

Today, the most renowned and internationally known urban planning, architecture and interior design firms accommodate nearly 60 to 70% of the projects in Asia. As a result, the largest design market is located in Asia. In spite of the vast number for Asia’s hospitality design markets, there are no design centers related to hospitality expos, trade shows, and conferences, similar to the Chicago Merchandise Mart’s yearly program. As of now, this service is not provided in any Asian countries.

In order to solve this problem, we researched the hospitality design industry in the Asian market and determined Guri City to be the ideal location. Minutes from Seoul there is located approximately 1000 acres of prime development land along the Han River. This area has been, and is currently under a zoning that has not allowed any type of building and land development. Viva Vina and its partners are currently working with the South Korean Federal Government to re-zone this area for development. For additional information regarding the development of the Guri World Design Center please contact Viva Vina, Inc.

Medical Device Development

Posted by admin

April 2011

In the current hospital environment, thousands of pharmacists, nurses, physicians and other caregivers may encounter a serious threat to their own physical and reproductive health, on a daily basis, often without even realizing it. Even though the hazardous nature of many drug compounds, such as chemotherapy, antivirals, antibiotics, hormones, nuclear medicine drugs, are well established, the US federal government estimates that 5.5 million healthcare workers continue to be exposed to these substances each year. The danger of exposure to these drugs can range from skin rashes, infertility and miscarriage, to birth defects, and possibly leukemia or other cancers. Studies have shown that traces of hazardous drugs have been found on floors and counters in hospital pharmacies, and on chairs and tabletops at the patient bedside. Furthermore, the widespread exposure of the healthcare providers to these drugs have been clearly established by studies that have detected hazardous drugs in the urine of workers who handled them, and also the urine of workers that did not directly handle these drugs.

Viva Vina has partnered with seasoned professionals in the medical device development industry to take advantage of a need for the improvement of medical devices. Viva Vina is excited about the opportunities they have to market and develop medical device equipment to divert risks associated with handling hazardous pharmaceuticals. Viva Vina has obtained patented technology for the development of innovative medical devices that promote health, safety, and ease-of-use. Viva Vina is offering investment opportunities for serious individuals and/or companies to promote and develop these medical devices that will provide immediate impact to the healthcare industry.

Renewable Diesel Production

Posted by admin

April 2011

The Viva Vina Team had a successful trip as they traveled to Europe earlier this month to meet with partners and business associates. The trip was centered on building a strategic partnership for the development of renewable diesel production facilities throughout the world. Renewable diesel is similar to biodiesel in that it is produced from renewable organic feedstock sources. Renewable diesel offers several environmental advantages and can be used to fulfill the same purposes as regular petroleum diesel, but with added benefits.

Viva Vina and its partners are proud to be able to promote this proprietary technology. Limited renewable diesel production facilities enable for very large market opportunities. Biodiesel has traditionally been the alternative diesel of choice. Viva Vina believes it will not be long before renewable diesel replaces biodiesel as the preferred organic diesel fuel. Renewable diesel has several benefits over biodiesel and petroleum diesel. These benefits range from helping the environment to overall performance enhancement. Viva Vina is excited at the opportunities they have to market and develop renewable diesel manufacturing facilities on an international scale.

If you have any questions regarding Renewable Diesel Production and/or investment opportunities please contact Viva Vina, Inc., at [email protected].
