8th Semiannual NCD International Advisory Meeting – San Diego
The Nature, Culture, and Design (NCD) International Advisory Board recently held its 8th Semiannual Conference March 18th and 19th at the Omni Hotel in San Diego, California. Attendees gathered from around the world to participate in the meeting and discuss the progress of one of the world’s largest mixed-use development projects planned for Guri City, South Korea. The multibillion-dollar development, called the NCD project, will include a central business and leisure district showcasing the Guri World Design Center (GWDC), a cultural district with several themed communities, and a medical and education district including a state-of-the-art medical hospitality facility and prestigious international school.
The land site where the development is planned lies directly along the Han River that flows through the middle of Seoul. The site provides a pristine location for the GWDC. The land site is currently in the final stages of review by the South Korean Central Government. Once approved, the land site will be available for development.
One of the benefits the land site offers is an opportunity for foreign investment. The development will encourage foreign investment through the special Foreign Investment Promotion Act that gives added value and benefit. As reported at the conference, foreign investors stand ready to invest once the proper approvals have been given for development.
