9th Semiannual NCD International Advisory Board Meeting – New York
The NCD International Advisory Board recently held its 9th semiannual meeting at the Palace Hotel in New York City. Participants attended from all over the United States as well as several international locations. The focus of the meeting is the development of one of the largest and most expensive urban development projects in the world planned for Guri City, South Korea. The multi-billion dollar projects includes re-development of Guri City’s existing city as well as an extensive addition of new apartments, condos, parks, retail shops, hotels, convention center and many more recreation attractions.
At the center of the project is the Guri World Design Center (GWDC). GWDC is a venue that will provide the design and hospitality industry an ideal location to showcase goods and services to the largest consumer market in the industry located in Asia. Everything an international business needs to access the Asian market will be conveniently provided in a new state-of-the-art location. The design center will provide permanent show room space as well a venue to hold conventions, expos and other networking events.
The next step for the project to move forward is the requirement of the land site to be re-zoned for real estate development. The land site is in an ideal location in Guri City and the greater Seoul metropolitan area. Until now, the area has been zoned for non-development purposes. Due to the positive economic impact the project represents, government officials are in the process of releasing the land site for one of the most extensive and expensive development projects in the world.
